Testimony & Career

My father and mother had me in church at an early age. In retrospect, especially now that I am a father, I can see how special it is to have someone concerned about your spiritual wellbeing. My parents hosted a Vacation Bible School at our house for our block in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I can remember one of the workers holding up flashcards which showed Jesus living, teaching, dying, and then resurrecting Himself. Later that night, I knelt down in my bedroom and asked Jesus Christ to save me. I was seven years old.

When I was thirteen years old, my parents separated and I, my sisters, and mother went to live with our grandfather. We started going to church at Concord Baptist Church in Wilmington, Delaware, which was only ten minutes away from my grandparent’s house. It was there my family received the healing we needed. My mother and father reunited and my sisters and I started to attend Concord Christian Academy, the Christian school associated with the church.

At the age of fourteen, during a chapel message, I surrendered to go into full-time ministry. I graduated from Concord Christian Academy and enrolled in Crown College in Powell, Tennessee, for the fall of 2000. At Crown College, I became more serious about serving the Lord and I learned much from my godly professors.

It was also at college that I started to pray about going to New Jersey and starting a church. However, God did not open any doors at that time. So, after four years of college I stayed on another year and waited for God to lead me. After my fifth year of college, Pastor Walls asked me to come and help him at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church. A year earlier, I had done an internship at Mount Pisgah. After praying about it for a week, I felt confident God was leading me to be the principal.

This is now my fifth year at Mount Pisgah Christian Academy (MPCA). I have learned much and am looking forward to staying at MPCA for as long as God would have me. I am glad I have been obedient to the Lord thus far, for I have met many wonderful people (parents, teachers, students, representatives) and especially my wife, Sarah. I can honestly say I have never observed or been associated with a group of people that are as family-oriented and godly as the people connected to MPCA. It is something peculiar and something a lot of Christian schools do not have. I truly believe that God’s hand is upon us and I look forward to His future blessings upon our school.

Mr. Bradford has a B.S. in Pastoral Ministries from Crown College and has also completed Master's courses in Advanced Old Testament Survey and Advanced New Testament Survey.
