Donna Campbell - Science Teacher

Donna Campbell

Testimony & Career

I was raised in a Christian home. My parents took my siblings and I to church from birth.  Some of my earliest memories are in the church nursery.  I was saved at an October revival in our home church, Windsor Hills Baptist Church in Roanoke, Virginia.  I was convicted that I was a sinner and accepted Christ as my Savior. I was nine years old.  I was fortunate that my parents encouraged spiritual growth in our home.  I had been taught to join a Bible teaching church when moving to a new community.  I have had a church family to mentor and encourage me throughout my college years, early career years and married and family life.  We now attend First Baptist of Kingston.  I teach 3rd grade Sunday School and participate along with my husband in the jail ministry.

This is my 7th year at Mount Pisgah Christian Academy.  I am teaching Biology, Earth Science and Physical Science.  A biblical worldview is essential to understanding science as a Christian.  There is much dialog and controversy and opposing views in the realm of science.  Science, by definition and the nature of the scientific process can never provide truth as the Bible does.  Scientific findings that contradict the Scripture cannot be true or factual.  Scientific findings that do not contradict the Bible may or may not be true.  Learning science with a biblical worldview provides an understanding of the limitations of science and enhances the wonder and awe of God’s creation.  In the science classes at Mount Pisgah, we encourage students to stand for biblical convictions and teach the student to interact with non-Christians and Christians that hold a worldly view.  The Bible is the Word of God and is Truth and can be a practical tool enhancing the study of Science.

Our son attended Mount Pisgah Christian Academy for eight years.  We are pleased with the excellent academic and spiritual background he received at Mount Pisgah.  The school prepared him for the next step in his educational journey.
